Wascally Wabbit Trail Run -2-

Well where does one start with their own personal Blog. I guess just as a diary, I'll start with recent activities and go from there.  This past weekend was the first leg of the 4 runs in the Trail running circuit. The Wascally Wabbit 2, where I entered in the 50K.

Shawn McCardle and I drove over Friday night and spent the night at Jodi and Karine's place arriving at the start line for the 6 am start. The weather was perfect for running, at least for me, cool and sunny. This weather stayed the same throughout the run, getting warmer as the day went on. Started with a long sleeve shirt and a short over, but half way through the course I shed the long.

Getting Ready.

This was only my third 50K on a "scheduled" run. I have done others in training and non organized runs and from the start felt strong and well prepared. The link below is to my garmin activity.

Hi Michael.

For some reason, I just found your blog. It was fun reading your account of the race. And I remember chatting with you! I wish I'd known you were from PEI. I grew up in Summerside. Always love talking to an Islander.

Look forward to seeing you at future races. I'm planning to run the Cuddly Coyote. You?
